2.4: Transatlantic Trade

When New World colonies developed and half of the population wasn’t dying each month, trade networks formed, which exchanged colonially produced goods that were valued in Europe for forced labor from Africa. This trade also occurred between Europeans and Native Americans, leading to cultural exchange. The big buzzword for this topic is mercantilism, the economic system in which Britain wanted to be the biggest piece of the pie.
