2.7: Colonial Society and Culture

Due to the nature of their founding, British colonies contained a plethora of religious and ethnic groups, and exchange was especially enhanced by the Great Awakening and spread of Enlightenment ideals, although the colonies did primarily Anglicize over time. At the same time, the seeds of resistance from the imperial government emerged as the interests of European leaders diverged with colonial desires. Very dramatic and ominous. Who knows what will happen next?
