3.8: The Constitutional Convention and Debates over Ratification

Once the states realized what a piece of doo-doo the Articles of Confederation were, they met at the Constitutional Convention 1787, now knowing all of the don’t-don’ts. Through much compromise, the document was finally drafted, and following debate between Federalists and Anti-Federalists, the Constitution of the United States was finally ratified.
