3.9: The Constitution

The Constitution of the United States ratified elements of the Articles of Confederation and incorporated others in order to lay out a government which had the power it needed to provide stability and social order while also being a government “for the people, by the people.” These are seen especially in the separation of powers between the three branches and the sharing of power between state and federal government.
